Travel To United States  – Plan Your First Step!

The United States is a huge country when you say that everything is bigger in the United States, so it fits! This also applies to distances, and distances should be taken into account when planning your holiday and tour in the United States. For ordinary terrestrial travelers, it is impossible to reach all national parks, monuments and amusement parks on the same holiday. – But don’t worry, with a little planning you can get a lot of it, on one and the same holiday.

What can you experience in the United States?

A really good piece of advice is to sit down and find all the places you would like to visit, but with that in mind that it can’t all come true. (Put everything with finances and time on the shelf, for a start) Already here it may seem a bit unmanageable, because where to start and where to end? The Grand Canyon has most heard about, but what about all the other places? One must know that it is there to be able to find it inspiring.
Here the net becomes your best friend, there are many blogs where private Danes write about experiences and holidays in the US, some of these USA blogs I come in at other posts. The great thing about these USA blogs, like mine, is that people are behind, who are passionate about vacation and tour in the United States, and like to share their experiences and experiences with others. So I don’t have to write my posts because I have to make money on it, but because I hope that others can have just as good holidays in the US as I have had.

Once you have written some of the wishes for your US vacation down, you can plot them on a map to get an overview of their geographical location. ESTA application – entry into the United States

Electronic Travel Authorization System or simply called ESTA is a permit you must obtain if you are entering the United States. So there are some formalities that need to be in order before you can run out of the American highways. ESTA needs to be searched online and may well cause some agony, but far, most travelers get their application approved without any problem.

Who should apply for ESTA?
Danish citizens are covered by the so-called Visa Waiver Program, which allows you to stay in the United States for up to 90 days, on a travel permit. The ESTA form must be completed to determine if you are eligible to travel under the aforementioned Visa Waiver Program, and may stay in the United States visa-free for up to 90 days. If you want to stay in the United States for more than 90 days or you need to work in the United States, you must have a visa. If you need a visa for the USA, you must apply well in advance as you are going to an interview at the US Embassy. If you have a fleeting or alien passport, you must contact the US Embassy before hearing the rules that apply to your entry into the United States.

How long should the passport be valid?
Your passport must be valid for the period you are in the United States, or have indicated you wish to stay in the United States. If your passport expires 60 days after you enter the United States, but you only have to stay in the United States for 30 days, this is no problem. It is therefore not a requirement that your passport is valid for all 90 visa-free days. NOTE: If you are going on a cruise in the US, you may find that the company requires your passport to be valid for 6 months beyond the trip. An emergency pass can only be used to travel out of the United States, not to enter!

Is it dangerous to travel in the US and Canada?

It can be said very briefly – NO it’s not dangerous to travel on your own in neither the United States nor Canada, as long as you use the common sense you have from home. Yes, some of the most criminal areas in the world exist in the United States, and if you want to visit them, you can say so, but otherwise stay away. Most people do not think that New York is actually very criminal (heavily declining in recent years), and here millions of tourists travel every year, without problems.

Having traveled around the US for many years, I have tried most things and yet been far from violence and crime. The United States and Canada are very large countries, with many millions of inhabitants, and there are not many idiots in the news that it goes beyond the many. At many motel rooms in the US, there are safety instructions on how to commit yourself. As a tourist, you can’t stop laughing at them. It’s a lot about locking doors and closing windows, things that most people themselves take forgiven.

Travel insurance to USA

Well you can travel into the United States without traveling – but something so stupid I will not encourage anyone to. It is extremely important to have a travel insurance when you enter the United States, and as a starting point you are not covered by your regular travel insurance, as the person who often only covers you in Europe. Most people agree with me that we do not want to save 200 EURO, and then later find out that we are not properly covered in the US. Conversely, it is also a bit of a jungle to find out, I have gathered some of my experiences here, and solutions for cheap travel insurance that cover properly in the US. When you buy a travel insurance for the United States, they can be a little different than when you buy a travel insurance to Europe. First of all, they are significantly expensive, but in many cases you only buy travel insurance to cover the period you stay in the United States. For the big providers in the market, you must expect that a travel inquiry costs between 100 – 200 EURO per. person for 3 weeks.
